Choosing your region shows the sentences that differ by law. Everything else applies either way.
1. Who we are
Claude Keychain is sold on a monthly, yearly, or lifetime plan. Buying, downloading, or using Claude Keychain means you accept these terms. Payments, receipts, and tax are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, whose own terms cover the transaction itself and who will appear on your card statement, not us.
2. Trademarks
Claude Keychain is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. Claude and Anthropic are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. Other product, service, and company names referenced on this site, including in the icons Claude Keychain fetches for a secret you add, are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify which service a key belongs to.
3. The license
Monthly and yearly plans. Your license runs for as long as your subscription is active. It stops if you cancel or a payment fails and isn't fixed.
Lifetime plans. One payment buys a license to run Claude Keychain on up to 2 Macs you personally use, for as long as the product exists.
Updates. Every plan includes updates as long as we ship them. A lifetime license is not a promise to maintain Claude Keychain forever, it's our best effort while the product exists, the same as any small, independently made app.
Moving Macs. You can move your license to a new Mac yourself at any time.
No sharing. Your license key is yours; don't share, resell, or redistribute it, and don't rebrand or rehost Claude Keychain as your own product.
Refunds and chargebacks. A license is deactivated if the purchase is refunded under the refund policy, or charged back.
4. Price and download
The price is the one shown on the pricing page and at checkout, currently $4/mo, $24/yr, or $39 once. There is no free trial: your license and download link are sent after payment, and the refund policy in section 4 is there if Claude Keychain isn't for you.
5. Refunds
Faulty purchases are refunded with no time limit, and a change of mind within 48 hours of purchase, both described fully in the refund policy. That policy, not this section, also covers your statutory cancellation rights. The "get the month back" offer is a separate promotion with its own terms, not a refund.
6. Privacy
The privacy page is the complete statement. In short: Claude Keychain does not read what your Mac is doing.
7. Storing your own secrets
You're responsible for what you store in Claude Keychain. If you paste a key into the app, that key is yours to manage, we don't inspect, validate, or take responsibility for what it is or does. We don't promise that Claude Code or Anthropic's own services won't change in ways that affect how a stored key is used. We also don't promise that a Keychain item is immune to anything else running on your Mac under your own login, the macOS Keychain protects against other users and most other apps, not against something that already has your login session.
8. Acceptable use
Use Claude Keychain for anything lawful. Don't crack, patch, or wrap the app to bypass a license. Don't use it to store or use API keys or credentials you don't have the right to use, including stolen or leaked keys.
9. What we promise, and what we do not
Claude Keychain is provided as is. We work hard on it, but we do not warrant that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose. Our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months, for a monthly or yearly plan, or at what you paid for your license, for a lifetime plan. To the maximum extent the law of your state allows, this excludes all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose under the Uniform Commercial Code. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, or limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this exclusion may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights that vary by state.
10. Changes
If these terms change, the change is posted here with a new effective date. We may change prices for future billing periods or new purchases; a year or lifetime you've already paid for keeps the terms and price you bought it under.
11. Accounts
Claude Keychain doesn't require an account. All we hold is your license key and the email address tied to your purchase.
12. Cancellation
Cancelling a monthly plan stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. You can cancel at any time, without contacting us, through the customer portal link in your Lemon Squeezy purchase receipt email. Yearly and lifetime plans have nothing to cancel, there's no recurring charge to stop.
13. If the business changes hands
If Claude Keychain is sold or transferred, your email, order history, and license may transfer to the new owner so your license keeps working. What's stored in your own Mac's Keychain does not transfer; it was never ours to transfer. Full detail is in the privacy page.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the United States, this does not deprive you of any protection you have under a mandatory provision of the law of the state where you live; the law of England and Wales otherwise applies to everything else in these terms.
15. Disputes on an individual basis
To the maximum extent permitted by the law that applies to you, any dispute with us must be brought on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action, and claims by or against more than one user may not be combined without our and their consent. This section does not limit any right that cannot lawfully be waived under the law of the country in which you live, including, for consumers in the UK or EU, your right to bring a claim in the small claims court or through any other procedure the law makes available to you. For consumers in the United States, this section does not limit any right to bring a claim in small claims court, or any right that cannot lawfully be waived under the law of your home state. If this section is found unenforceable in a particular case, the rest of these terms still apply.
